The subject of the competition was the project of accomplishment and landscape organization of 2 km of the embankment in the southern part of the Vasilievsky Island. The very idea of creating a city-wide linear park here was put forward by Studio 44 during the design of adjacent residential areas. The idea was supported by the construction company LSR, Real Estate - North-West, the chief architect of the city – Vladimir Grigoriev, and the Vice-Governor of St. Petersburg – Igor Albin.
The customer of the competition was LSR. Real Estate - North-West, and the operator was Project Baltia magazine. Ten St. Petersburg bureaus took part in the closed competition: Studio 44, A.Len, B2, Vitruvius and Sons, KVOIA, Liphart Architects, OJSC Specialized Construction Management - 5, the design group “Sreda comfort "," Neskuchny garden", MLA +.
The concept of "Studio 44" under the working title "Anfilade" won the jury with its thoughtful functional diversity and consistency of the land architecture with the architecture of the building of the sea facade.
