The structure of the hotel plot located in the center of Nizhny Novgorod, at the crossing of Alexeevskaya Street and Piskunova Street, predetermines the triangular shape of the building. The long sides of the triangle run along each of the streets, one hundred meters and eighty meters, respectively. Since it is impossible to find a building with such long facades in an old town, the collage technique was used.
The hotel seems to be composed of separate smaller buildings and resembles not a uniform structure, but rather a dense city block. The blocks of the building vary in width, height, window decoration, as well as colour and texture of the brickwork. The top story of the building has been sunk towards the center and forms a garret fitted under a V-shaped roof. All of the above allows the building to fit the scale and become part of the surrounding urban landscape despite its emphatically modern appearance.
The courtyard building between the residential wings with 206 rooms will house a restaurant and administrative offices. The hotel is also equipped with a parking space, conference hall and shops facing both streets. The main entrance to the hotel is located at the top of the triangle, thus creating an accent in the surrounding cityscape.
Total area constitutes 12 630 sq. m, including:
